Longridge is a regenerative wine estate in Stellenbosch, rooted in organic and biodynamic farming and dedicated to producing wines of purity, precision and place. Situated on the cool slopes of the Helderberg - just three miles from False Bay - the estate (Anno 1841) farms with a long-term commitment to soil health, vineyard balance and ecological stewardship. Nguni cattle graze the vineyards, ducks patrol the rows, and a steady maritime influence defines the coolest pocket of the Stellenbosch appellation.

In the cellar, the approach is guided by restraint - allowing the vineyards and vintage to define the character of each wine. The result is a collection of elegant, terroir-driven wines that combine freshness, structure and authenticity with global fine-wine relevance: from estate Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay through structured reds and the celebrated Emily Rosé, all reflecting the unique character of the Helderberg terroir.

At Longridge, we farm with the belief that exceptional wine begins with a living vineyard. Through organic and biodynamic farming, careful stewardship of our soils, and a restrained approach in the cellar, we aim to express the purity, balance and character of the Helderberg in every wine.

Living Vineyards for Living Wines

Longridge is one of South Africa's leading biodynamic wine estates, where nature is not controlled but rather - it is trusted. Every vineyard is farmed without herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, while ducks, Nguni cattle, cover crops and naturally living soils work in harmony to produce healthy vines and exceptional fruit. In the cellar, that same philosophy continues with indigenous yeasts, no commercial enzymes, no fining or filtration, and minimal sulfur, allowing every bottle to express the purity of the Helderberg and the estate's enduring belief in Wisdom in Wine.

The result is more than sustainability - it is wines of exceptional clarity, freshness and authenticity that truly express the Helderberg. At Longridge, this philosophy is known simply as Wisdom in Wine.
